…..Backside Floater…….

These are great transitional moves to cover ground on a wave, and if they’re done in the right spot ,they can give you more speed to approach your next move……………………………

The approach is somewhat horizontal as you want to ride along the lip line, projecting down the line ……………………….

The key to a floater is to ride along the lip and not let your board and body get to far behind the lip. If this happens , you actually lose speed and have to hop back in to the wave, which usually ends in getting caught behind instead of projecting forward……………………………….

As you’re riding the lip line, sometimes you’ll naturally do a slight shift with your board to readjust your positioning so that you land tail first instead of pearling forward……………………………….

Go get some floaters 😛
